Why Living Micro-Greens and How to Care For Them

Micro-Greens are a great way to pack in some "healthy stuff " into everyday meals. It's hard always trying to eat enough greens and we fall short on that a lot.  I started growing micro-greens several years ago to enhance my nutrient content in foods.

I leaned quickly I could toss them on a soup, sprinkle the tops of my scrambled eggs or open-faced sandwiches quickly. Not only do they super charge your bites but they add a crunch, texture, and visual beauty to your meal.

Why "LIVING" Micro-Greens

It's scientifically proven that the nutritional content is at its very highest as soon as it's cut. Yes, precut Micro-Greens are probably higher in nutritional content than say your average grown grocery store veggies BUT a home grown or just picked veggie will have a higher content and a (just now) cut "Living" Micro-Greens and will be at it's PEAK nutritional content.

I was taught growing up that if you do something "do it right!, work smart, take the extra step, and it will pay off" It's how I do everything for not only my health and our family but for you also.

When you order Living Micro-Greens you are getting a product  that is grown naturally, chemical free, without the use of fertilizers and pesticides, I only use certified organic seeds from a reputable seed producer.

All my Living Micro-greens are grown soil-less and grown indoors in a controlled sterile environment. I grow them soil-less either on organic hemp or in organic coconut coir.  They are grown in an enclosed grow tent where humidity, temperature and airflow are monitored closely.

You can keep these (living) in your refrigerator cutting what you need as you need them. The low temps of the fridge slows the growth and the need for water. You can keep living micros in your fridge for many days.

OR You can remove the bottom sticker from your micro tray, set in a dish on a sunny countertop or windowsill. Cut what you need as you need them and spray or give a little water according to its needs.

Easy Peasy!!

Do they regrow?

Most do not and it would defeat the purpose of "baby growth" but some do. Specked Peas do regrow 2-3 times but the older they get the less flavorful they are. Wheat Grass will also regrow a coupe of times but the same would apply for flavor changes.

I ask that you compost your soilless medium when you are done - throw it in the garden or a potted plant, etc.

We can also offer Large Full trays of 10x10 or 20x20 - if that is something you are interested in please message or call me and I can quote you. We can also arrange for weekly, bi-weekly or monthly delivery of our Living Micro-Greens
