October Updates

We have added a new hive of bees. This one will be a langstroth which is your standard box type hives. Langstroth hives produce more honey while the top bar hives produce more beautiful combs. (Brooke has both types of hives now) 

Brooke loves the idea of being able to produce things like beautiful honey with comb or wax type products like lip balms, candles and soaps. Im so excited for her bee adventures. 

Other things in the works... Our onion starts have been ordered for planting in January. We will also be planting garlic and a couple fruiting type trees during this time. 

It's getting cooler. We will be harvesting our sweet potatoes in about a week. We only planted a small harvest just enough for family but next year I plan to do a much bigger planting. This was my forst time growing sweet potatoes. ❤ 

Our sweet little pumpkins are also taking off like crazy!!! We planted late so I'm hoping to see pumpkins for christmas pie. 

Oregano and Rosemary are really doing well also I cant wait to use our fresh herbs in this holiday's bakes amd teas. 

Our goal is learning and growing this year and this time next year we will be able to offer some great fresh organic seasonal things and fresh herbs for our clients via farm stand.
